AJ and I met while we were attending college at the University of Rhode Island. We met through our friends Adam and Ginarae Lescault. Adam and AJ were working on a greenhouse together for one of their class projects. One day, back in 2003, I went to go check out the greenhouse and there he was, the man I am going to marry. I remember our first conversation was about 80's movies, which if you ask AJ now, he will tell you I don't know the first thing about 80's movies but knew enough to make him talk to me. I had butterflies and could barely get out the words without fumbling over my words. Our first date was a elegant (haha) dinner at Applebee's and the X-men movie. One thing we both noticed right away was that we had a great time together, could make each other laugh and had a sense of comfort with each other.
I think we could both agree that our favorite thing to do is to go out to Denver to visit his sister Kara and her fiance Alvydas. We love to go to Jimmy Buffett concerts and do anything where we can be outside and relax. We are really looking forward to going on our honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico. It will be our first real vacation with just him and I!
Through the years (9 yrs to be exact), we grew to know and love each other more and more. We learned what makes each other happy and sad, we know what makes each other laugh and frown but most importantly, we know what makes each other tick. Now we are ready to take the next step and get married!
